Before Booking

Kay will contact you and arrange to chat so that you can connect. This allows both parties to make sure Kay is the right person to guide you through your transition. You can then arrange your dates and receive a welcome pack with details of your trip. You are now ready to go.

Your Time Together

The Midlife Mojo Mallorca Retreats features… a welcome gift box containing your personal signed copy of Kay’s three books, journal and pen, a daily meditation, Midlife Strategy sessions, one massage, a paella lesson and tasting and local sightseeing.

Between sessions there is plenty of downtime to journal and digest your work, swim, sunbathe, walk along the seafront or relax on the beach or terrace.

Space is deliberately built into the process to enable you to get the most out of your sessions. You are a guest at Kay’s house and will share the space with Kay and her husband James (who is an excellent chauffeur and paella expert). Kay ensures that you will have private space to talk together and to reflect.

Midlife Strategies

Your energy and mood levels, will define your stay. Kay will facilitate the coaching and mentoring space to suit your needs. She has an impressive midlife toolkit to help you brainstorm ideas, get clarity on your points of confusion. Together you will work out a down-to- earth plan to confidently move forward. You may find yourself delving into Kays specialities the ‘Table of life’ or the ‘5 starfish steps’, both of which are favourites with past clients.

Many of your lightbulb moments will come during your one-on-one conversations. Most clients choose to have one full day of intense coaching (or two sessions over two days), a total of eight hours. No issue is excluded yet as time is short. Kay asks you to set an intention before your arrival so she can ensure that together you cover your priorities.

Other Activities

Your massage with a local therapist, is included on the first day. More can be booked in advance.

Walking solo is a fabulous way to digest your work during this retreat. From the apartment you can saunter along the coast for hours. There are ideal places to sit for quiet meditation and for calm thoughts. Stop to read, draw or paint, or do nothing at all. If you are not too adventurous a local bar will provide you with a comfy seat. Here you can watch the world go by. For the more adventurous there are also local mountain hiking walks nearby.

You will also have the opportunity to visit one of the weekly markets. Here you can buy handmade mementos and gifts. The nearby town of Artá has a market every Tuesday. Amble along the streets and even climb to the Castle. Time to see other non-tourist parts of the island will be adapted to the weather, season and your personal preference.

After Your Retreat

Kay will arrange a convenient time to talk with you via Zoom, find out what has happened since your visit and what, if anything, still needs to be addressed.

Your Personal Space

Your own en-suite room with views of the mountain. The room is clean and simply furnished. A comfy queen size bed, with hotel quality linen. Kay will supply you with locally handmade eco toiletries and beach towels. Just ask in advance to make sure all your needs are covered.

What to Bring

Travel light, hand luggage is all that will be needed. Leave your computer behind. Casual and comfy clothes will be perfect, even when leaving the apartment. If you love to walk, sturdy shoes are recommended yet walking boots are not necessary.

Let those that need to know, that you will be out of contact for the duration of the retreat (except any emergencies).  Be prepared to take a respite from your world for a while, be Sensibly Selfish and focus on you.

Meals

Each meal is planned in advance and tailored to your dietary needs. Tasty and healthy home-cooked meals are prepared with locally sourced produce. Breakfast is a filling protein/starch/fruit smoothie. Lunch a three course ‘menu del diá’ and a lighter evening meal such as homemade soups and salads. James will happily cook you a paella one evening and demonstrate his secret method for perfection.

Sustainability

In order to help the local environment and see first hand what damage humans are causing to the Mediterranean sea, Kay will take you beach combing. Together you can collect plastic washed up on the shores. This will be taken to the municipal refuse collection at a later date.
